Your Internet performance can be affected by quite a few things, including:
- Your service level from your internet service provider
- The Cable Modem / Router that you might have
- How good of a WiFi signal you get
- How old your laptop is
- How many people are using the Internet at your home
You can run some speed tests from your computer and if you have house mates, have them do the same to get any sense of different performance.

If you are having problems with Zoom, you can see the bandwidth being used with the zoom app by going into the settings (via the up arrow on the mute microphone or start video icons in the lower left), then go to Statistics.
