Some calendars don't belong to a person but instead are considered a general resource. This might be a room, a special computer, etc. to add these resources to your Google Calendar following the general guidelines below:
- Navigate to Google Calendar in your browser of choice
- Make sure you are signed in with your UCSB account, and switch accounts if necessary so the UCSB account is the active account.
- In the left-hand column near the bottom, click on the + button for the section "Other calendars"
- In the window that pops ups, select "Browse resources"
- All UCSB resources are organized by department, for Bren resources, scroll down to the section titled "bren" click the arrow to expand the "bren" category.
- For each resource you would like to add to your Calendar view, check the box next to the resource. As an example if you wanted to add the room calendar for Bren room #2322, the corresponding calendar resource is called: bren-room-2322
- Resource naming may vary and may not follow a strict naming convention, so make sure you look at the full list if you do not see the resource you are expecting.
- Once the resource has been added to your Google Calendar you can view it, and if you have permissions, create entries.

DO NOT create entries through Google Calendar directly for the following rooms. These rooms must be booked through booking.bren.ucsb.edu , any entries for these rooms that are created through Google Calendar will be deleted.
