Mac Setup

Following are the instructions for setting up a MAC -

  1. unbox
  2. record in our database spreadsheet the date, serial number, description, server, person, destination  (BrenCompute/laptops/database
  3. install sticker on bottom of machine
  4. plug in power go through initial install process
  5. create local_admin account linked to, using la pw
  6. patch operating system
  7. install chrome
  8. install office 2016
  9. delivery to customer and create account with admin credentials, not using apple creds.  they can do that if they wish by creating a new account.
  10. double check warranty information.
