Chome won't open, why?

You login to a computer, start chrome and nothing happens.  Its actually running, but just not showing you a window.  The solution is to kill the chrome process and start again.  We believe this happens only on random computers that you login to for the first time.   This is a problem that affects other organizations that use roaming profiles, a feature of Microsoft Windows.

How can I fix this? 

  1. Most of our desktops should have a "FIX CHROME" icon on the desktop.  Run that, and it should fix chrome.
  2. You can also open up the task manager and kill chrome
    • click the start button
    • type  taskmgr
    • search for the chrome processes and kill them.
    • Now start chrome.
